Ocean Park Hong Kong Features Professor Jianwen Qiu’s Research in an Education Programme

To educate local citizens about marine biodiversity, Hong Kong Ocean Park has showcased the new sun coral species discovered in 2022 by the HKBU team led by Professor Jianwen QIU, Professor and Associate Head of the Department of Biology. This display is featured in their newly established Sun Coral Display Tank alongside an LED TV, highlighting species such as the Tree Cup Coral Tubastraea dendroida, the Violet Cup Coral Tubastraea violacea, and the Green-walled Cup Coral Tubastraea chloromura.
