BIOL Hosts Study Tour for China Agricultural University Members: A Promising Step Towards Future Collaborations

A study tour from the Future Technology department, China Agricultural University visited the Hong Kong Baptist University (HKBU) on July 18, 2023. During the visit, the Department of Biology hosted two seminars. The first seminar was presented by the Head of Department, Professot Yiji Xia, providing an overview of the research and teaching of the department.

The second seminar was presented by Dr Li Baiying, who shared her experience of undergraduate and postgraduate study and living in Hong Kong. Dr Wu Haoxiang and Scientific Officers provided valuable insight into the student experience at HKBU.

In addition, colleagues from China Agricultural University had the opportunity to tour HKBU’s teaching and research facilities. Students were particularly curious about everything and had a positive response to HKBU. The visit provided an excellent opportunity for HKBU to showcase its strengths in research and teaching, as well as to establish valuable connections with China Agricultural University. Overall, the visit was a great success and both universities look forward to future collaborations.
