MATH Alumna receives Special Award for Innovation in the 48^th International Exhibition of Inventions of Geneva 2023

Alumna Ka Yiu WONG (Department of Mathematics; Class 2012) received a Special Award for Innovation in the 48^th International Exhibition of Inventions of Geneva 2023 for her project entitled “TrainLie: Small Data AI Learning Platform for Visual Defect Inspection”.

This invention offers a small data AI learning platform for manufacturers to develop their own quality inspection AI models with a limited amount of categorically labeled data and/or unlabeled data. This is particularly beneficial for manufacturers who are facing data scarcity issues.
