Biology students visit Jockey Club Environmental Building for green building insights

Dr Wai-yee CHAN, lecturer of the Department of Biology of Hong Kong Baptist University, and a group of students majoring in Applied Biology (Environmental Science concentration), and Bioresource and Agricultural Science visited the Jockey Club Environmental Building (JCEB) in Kowloon Tong on 17 February 2023.

The JCEB has achieved the top Final Platinum rating under BEAM Plus Existing Buildings Version 2.0 Comprehensive Scheme. Thanks to Mr SZETO and Ms LEUNG, the professional representatives of the Business Environment Council Ltd, for leading the teacher and students to visit the "Green Lab" and introducing the principles and performances of various environmental protection facilities and equipment. The students have been equipped with essential knowledge of the importance of green buildings in sustainable development after the visit.
