Yue Liu (2021 BSc in Computer Science graduate) is awarded champion in Final Year Project (FYP) Competition 2020-2021, organised by IEEE (Hong Kong) Computational Intelligence Chapter.

Yue Liu wins champion with her final year project titled “Novel View Synthesis and Geometry Embedding with Multinocular References”. She thanked for the kind advice and guidance from her supervisor Dr. Jie Chen from Department of Computer Science.

As Yue Liu shared her thoughts, “my final year project focuses on the novel view synthesis in Light field reconstruction, which helps to improve the image reconstruction quality. The award gives me strong support and confidence that I could further explore and work in my interested computer science area. I am truly grateful for the judging panel’s recognition.”

The annual IEEE (Hong Kong) Computational Intelligence Chapter Final Year Project Competition awards students with their excellent final year projects. The projects are related to an area of computational intelligence such as artificial intelligence and machine learning, intelligent risk management, financial engineering, simulation process, pattern and speech recognition, intelligent systems, data mining, fuzzy systems, neural networks, and evolutionary computation. Outstanding projects are carefully reviewed and selected for awards by a team of professional industry experts and leaders under fierce competition.
